Cairde Ui Neill Irish-language classes for beginners and intermediate level are held every Monday, between 7pm and 9pm, at Gaelscoil.
Creative writing classes continue at CRAIC Theatre on Wednesdays. The classes are being taken by published author, Fiona Cassidy.

A Halloween youth disco is to be held in O’Neill’s Bar between 7pm and 9pm on Friday, October 28, featuring UK Premier tributes to Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez, Hannah Montanna and Vanessa Hudgens.
Naoimh Colmcille Hurling Club are hosting a Walk for Michaela on Saturday, October 29, beginning at 10 am from the hurling field. It will be about six miles long and, weather permitting, will incorporate some of the ramparts around the Drummurrer and Derrytresk area. Suggested donation £5 per person. St Vincent De Paul Society wish to advise people that Fuel Saving Stamps are now available from the Springisland Supermarket. The stamps cost £5 each, and they are an excellent way of budgeting towards the cost of heating oil. They can be placed on a stamp card and are redeemed by most fuel oil suppliers.
