Coalisland Learn and Leisure is having a bus trip to Derry on Monday, October 17, leaving the Cornmill at 9.15am sharp, and returning between 5.30pm and 6pm. Those interested should call Ethna on 8774 0951. The fare is £5.

Cairde Ui Neill Irish-language classes for beginners and intermediate level are held every Monday, between 7pm and 9pm, at Gaelscoil.

Coalisland Training Services are running an ECDL course, beginning on Tuesday, October 18 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The course will cover seven topics, including word processing, spreadsheets, and OCR Book Keeping Level One. A Sage Accounts course will start on Thursday, October 20 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The AGM for the Coalisland/Clonoe CCE will be held on Wednesday, October 19 at 8 p.m in the Ozanam Centre. Call Mary on 07749 451 523 for details.

Creative writing classes continue at CRAIC Theatre on Wednesdays. The classes are being taken by published author, Fiona Cassidy.

As part of the Extended Schools Programme, free adult keep-fit classes will commence in the sports hall in St Joseph’s College, on Thursday, October 20 from 7pm to 9pm. Contact the college on 8774 0510 for details.

Craic Youth Theatre Presents Shell Shock by Doug Lucie and The Exam by Andy Hamilton on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22.

Irish dance classes with teacher Damian O’Neill are held every Friday at 4.30pm in CRAIC Theatre.

An Irish-language novel for children, Ciara Chainteach, will be launched at Coalisland library on Saturday, October 22 at 2.30pm. Attendees at the free event will have the opportunity to meet the book’s author, María Boden.

 

NOTICES

St Vincent De Paul Society wish to advise people that Fuel Saving Stamps are now available from the Springisland Supermarket.  The stamps cost £5 each, and they are an excellent way of budgeting towards the cost of heating oil.  They can be placed on a stamp card and are redeemed by most fuel oil suppliers.
