Two arrested over Annagher filling station break-in

Two men have been arrested after a break-in at Annagher Service Station – the second time the business has been targeted in four months.

The front doors of the premises were forced open during the latest incident, which took place at about 2am on Friday, according to the Tyrone Times.

Packs of cigarettes and cash were taken during early morning break-in.

Police say two men, aged 30 and 37, were arrested a short time later.

A spokesman for the PSNI said the pair were “currently in custody helping police with their enquiries”.

In a separate incident in October, a man carrying a gun was said to have been tackled to the ground by a passerby after he threatened staff at the petrol station.

Anyone with any information about the latest break-in is asked to contact CID in Dungannon on 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
