Last week’s lotto numbers were 2, 8, 20 & 23, there were no jackpot winners. One matched three numbers – Finbar Hughes. Next week’s jackpot is £1,300.
Last Friday night the O’Rahilly’s played in the quarter final of the championship in Omagh against Carrickmore. Clonoe started well and went into an early lead but Carrickmore fought back to lead 4 – 3 at the break. In a hard second half scores were at a premium but Clonoe found themselves in the lead with a few minutes but Carrickmore equalized at the death to force a replay with the final score being 0-06 to 0-06. The club would like to wish all the players and management all the best in the replay. The replay is down for this weekend so watch local press for details.
The reserves played in their quarter final last Monday night against Moortown. Played in terrible conditions the O’Rahilly’s brushed aside a poor Moortown on a score line of 5-14 to 0-04. Next up for the reserves in the championship is Dromore.
Clonoe O’Rahillys will be starting a new coaching initiative for all boys & girls under the age of six years. The programme is designed around fun games that will help the children develop their early movement skills vital for future sport. The programme will run from January to April every Saturday for one hour. Can all parents who wish to send their children to this please register them with Shane McCann before the end of September. The club will again be running family fortunes soon. Any family interested in taking part is asked to give their names to Gary Coney or Sean McCabe.
The club will be holding a poker classic on Friday, October7. First deal is at 9pm and it’s £20 to enter. There will be a half-kitty payout on the night. All people are asked to return their ticket money as soon as possible.
Any person left in last man standing is asked to get their teams in before Friday evening to Gary Coney.
There will be an Irish night on Saturday, October 1 in the Community Centre. Music is by Best Foot Forward. Doors open at 10pm.
