The PSNI has boosted its policing presence in Coalisland as a result of the public outcry over the town’s drugs issues, it has been revealed.
PSNI representatives are set to attend a public meeting on Coalisland’s growing drugs issues for the first time next month following claims that the force has failed to tackle the problem.

The PSNI have defended their response to growing fears over Coalisland’s drugs problems following concerns of a “stand-off” between officers and the community over the issue.

The PSNI have come under further pressure from the Coalisland community to help address the town’s drugs issues after it was claimed officers said they were “not yet ready” to meet residents.
