Coalisland Training Services events roundup

The Coalisland community has been benefiting from a range of events and courses organised by Coalisland Training services, including flower arranging, first aid training and hairdressing.

Locals were recently able to take part in a taster session in making a range of wedding flowers.

Marion McGee, tutor for the course, helped the attendees make a buttonhole flower. The group were also shown samples of bridal bouquets, bridesmaid posies, wrist corsages, handbag corsages, cake decoration flowers and flowers for pew ends.

A full wedding flower workshop course is set to start in September.  Call Eileen McGee on 028 87 748512 for more information.

Coalisland Training Services has also hosted a six-hour first aid course, with participants being awarded the First Aid Appointed Person certificate. Call Eileen McGee on 028 87 748512 for more details on forthcoming first aid courses.

And the organisation has been offering NVQ2 hairdressing for several years under the Steps to Work and Apprenticeship programmes.
