Youngsters at Kingsisland Primary School were taught how to make St Brigid’s Crosses – pictures and video inside.
Teaching staff Mrs Quinn, Mrs Lowe and Miss McAleer guided the St John’s Primary School pupils in how to make the crosses from rushes, giving every pupil the opportunity to make their very own cross.
The children brought their creations to the St Patrick’s Church, Clonoe, on St Brigid’s Day to have them blessed by Father Fee during a special ceremony as part of Catholic Schools Week.
